UNDIP New Student Orientation 2026: Introducing Students to Campus Life
The UNDIP New Student Orientation 2026 program introduced students to the academic environment of the Master of Law Program at the Faculty of Law, Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP). Held on August 10–11, 2026, the Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) welcomed 160 participants. They included new students for the 2026/2027 academic year and students from the 2025 cohort who had not attended the previous orientation.
The two-day event took place in the Fiat Justitia Room on the third floor of the Samiadji Soerjotjaroko, S.H. Building at the UNDIP Faculty of Law campus in Tembalang, Semarang. Through this program, participants learned about the academic environment, curriculum, learning systems, and regulations that guide postgraduate study.
Academic Insights into Four Legal Specializations
The UNDIP New Student Orientation 2026 featured four professors who introduced students to key areas of legal scholarship. Each speaker shared insights from their respective field of expertise.

Prof. Dr. Pujiyono, S.H., M.Hum. discussed criminal law perspectives and introduced students to the academic scope of criminal law.

Prof. Dr. Budi Santoso, S.H., M.S. presented legal scholarship from the perspective of economic and business law.

Prof. Dr. Fifiana Wisnaeni, S.H., M.Hum. explained constitutional law and its relevance to postgraduate legal studies.

Prof. Dr. Nanik Trihastuti, S.H., M.Hum. introduced international law as an important field of legal scholarship.
These sessions helped students understand the different specializations available within the Master of Law Program. In addition, the discussions provided an academic foundation for students as they begin their postgraduate studies.
Introduction to the Master of Law Program and Academic Regulations
The orientation also introduced students to the program’s management, curriculum, and academic requirements.
Dr. Ratna Herawati, S.H., M.H., Head of the Master of Law Program, presented the program profile and the 2026 Postgraduate Academic Regulations. Her presentation helped students understand the rules and expectations that apply throughout their studies.
Meanwhile, Dr. Adya Paramita Prabandari, S.H., M.L.I., M.H., Secretary of the Master of Law Program, explained the curriculum, academic milestones, and examinations. She also outlined the stages students must complete to plan their studies effectively and graduate on time.
By understanding these requirements from the beginning, students can prepare a clearer academic plan. As a result, they can better manage their coursework, research, and examination schedules.
Introduction to Academic Information Systems
To support students’ readiness for postgraduate learning, the program introduced the Academic, Research, and Community Service Information System, known as SIAP.
Suwadi, an academic administrative staff member, explained the system to participants. This introduction helped students become familiar with the information system used to support academic activities.
Furthermore, participants learned about the Ikatan Mahasiswa Magister Ilmu Hukum (IMMIH), the student association within the UNDIP Faculty of Law Master of Law Program. Students were introduced to the organization and its board members. Through this introduction, they gained an overview of student representation and opportunities for engagement in campus life.
Preparing Students for Successful Postgraduate Study
The PKKMB program aimed to give students a comprehensive understanding of the academic environment before they began their studies. It covered the curriculum, learning systems, academic regulations, legal specializations, and the stages required to complete a master’s degree.
Moreover, the academic sessions introduced students to different perspectives in legal scholarship. This knowledge can help them identify their academic interests and prepare for future research.
The orientation also encouraged students to plan their studies carefully and make effective use of the academic support available to them. Understanding the program’s requirements early can help students stay focused on their academic goals.
